The Argus Company began business more than 45 years ago in Louisville, Kentucky.  Ben Robertson, Sr. and C. Gordon Brown, Jr. began as distributors and agents, representing several companies that produced raw materials and solvents that were used by the coatings, inks, adhesives, rubber and plastics industries. The success of their efforts is responsible for today’s company, which continues to sell many of the same customers and a growing number of new customers in many new industries.

Today, we have expanded our area of representation to include Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, where we concentrate our efforts in the promotion and sales of our raw materials.  We keep inventories of materials in our new and modern warehouse facilities, located in Brooks, Kentucky.

We continue to strive to give our customers the most value for the services and products they obtain through our company.
